Cracked Heels And How To Prevent It

Health Beyond Wealth

There are numerous adverts that promote the idea of attractive feet. Maintaining beautiful heels, on the other hand,

is a time-consuming task. Regular work and busy schedules may put you off from taking breaks and concentrating

on your feet.

Cracked heels may be caused due to many reasons which include:

1. Prolonged standing can lead to hardening of the skin on feet, which may later crack up. You can avoid this by

wearing cushioned footwear.

2. Hard floors: Constant pressure on the skin may aggravate the problem.

3. Obesity, along with prolonged standing may lead to increased pressure on your feet.

4. Constantly wearing the same kind of footwear, especially flat ones can cause cracks.

5. Age: The heels thickens(loses elasticity and moisture) with age and may crack up with time.

6. Medical conditions such as vitamin deficiency, diabetes, and thyroid conditions can cause cracked heels.

7. The lack of hydration, however, is one of the most significant factors. Drinks a lot of water to stay hydrated.

There are several things you can do to make your feet look attractive.

1. Regular pedicures: Pedicures help in getting rid of dead skin at regular intervals. Regular pedicure helps to

maintain the feet in a good condition.

2. External moisture: Wash your feet, towel dry them, and apply a foot cream before going to bed. Foot creams are

meant to nourish the rough skin of your feet. In a week, you can see the wonders.

3. Change your footwear frequently.

4. Wear comfortable footwear if your job requires long-standing.

5. If you are suffering from a medical condition, consult your Physician.

When it comes to heel care, these are some of the most crucial things to keep in mind.
